John Lee Hooker (22 août 1917 - 21 juin 2001) était un chanteur de blues et auteur-compositeur. Né dans le Mississippi, il a développé une version du blues du Delta à la guitare électrique dans les années 40, et à la fin des années 50, il a développé son propre style de boogie que certains appellent le Chicago South Side Shuffle. Il était célèbre pour avoir fait fi du format de blues à 12 mesures et ses paroles présentent un style narratif presque improvisé. Hooker a sorti plus de deux douzaines d'albums studio, et il existe de nombreuses compilations et rééditions. Secrètement, vous voulez connaître sa guitare préférée.
